Paylines are evaluated in order — line 1 first, then 2, and so on. When you bet fewer than 9 lines you're only paid on the lower-numbered ones. Heart wins and the free-spin trigger require 2 or more hearts on the cells of a single active payline — hearts spread across different paylines do not combine.

Diamond (Wild) substitutes for any symbol except Heart on a payline. Heart pays as a scatter on active payline cells only.
Every spin is HMAC-SHA256 over a server seed, your client seed, and a per-spin nonce. The hash of the server seed is committed to your session before any spin happens; the seed itself is revealed when the session ends so anyone can replay every spin and verify the grid was determined before you clicked.

Sound effects are synthesised in your browser (no audio files are downloaded): soft wood-block reel ticks, a quiet chime when a heart lands, and win sounds that scale with the size of your win (you won't hear a fanfare on every micro-win). A master low-pass filter softens any harshness.
Background music is OFF by default — most mainstream online slots ship music off, and the reel SFX is what carries the experience. Enable an optional ambient chord pad (no melody, slow chord drift) in Settings if you want background ambience.
Toggle sounds, music, and volumes — or turn on Calm mode to mute every win/bonus celebration (only reel clicks remain) — in Settings → Slots audio.
If you turn music on, the chord pad transposes up a fifth during free spins so the bonus is recognisable without becoming agitated.
