What Is CXCash?
CXCash (CXCASH) is a privacy-first stablecoin built on the Aztec Network — a zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum. CXCASH transfers are shielded by default at the contract level: the sender, receiver, and amount are hidden on-chain using zero-knowledge proofs, though wallets, the platform and network metadata may still record information.
Key Features
- Shielded by default: Contract transfers use ZK proofs to hide on-chain transaction details
- World-basket peg: Pegged to a basket of 6 currencies (USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, CNY, CHF)
- Built on Aztec Network: Inherits Ethereum's security through ZK-rollup technology
- No contract-level blacklist or pause: The token contract itself has no blacklist, pause, or surveillance functions; the platform, wallets and networks may still record activity

Using CXCash
CXCash can be used for:
- Private P2P trading — use CXCASH as the settlement currency for trades
- Private swaps — swap other tokens for CXCASH to benefit from privacy
- Value storage — hold a stable, private asset pegged to a global currency basket
Technology
CXCash is implemented as a Noir smart contract on the Aztec Network:
- Noir: Aztec's privacy-focused programming language
- Encrypted UTXO notes: Balances are stored as encrypted notes, not public balances
- ZK-SNARKs: Zero-knowledge proofs validate every transaction without revealing details
Escrow Support
CXCash is fully supported in the 2-of-3 multisig escrow system. P2P trades with CXCASH benefit from both escrow security and transaction privacy.
