CryptoMart Auction Guide

CryptoMart auctions keep bidding obligations in USD. Cryptocurrency is selected only when the winner settles, using the token and blockchain options approved by the seller.

Placing a Bid

  1. Open an active auction and review its end time, minimum increment, shipping terms, seller reputation, and accepted settlement options
  2. Enter your maximum USD bid
  3. CryptoMart validates the bid atomically against the current auction state
  4. Proxy bidding raises your visible bid only as much as needed to remain ahead

Your maximum bid is not displayed publicly. Public auction data shows the current bid, bid count, reserve status, and scheduled end time without exposing bidder identities or the private reserve amount.

Buy It Now During an Auction

An Auction + Buy It Now listing can allow an immediate purchase. Bids and Buy It Now requests lock the same auction state so one action cannot create two winners. Availability follows the seller's published Buy It Now policy and current auction state.

Closing and Anti-Sniping

CryptoMart uses the server clock and an idempotent closing worker. A qualifying bid near the end can extend the auction under its published anti-sniping rules. When the auction closes, the winning USD obligation is recorded and cannot change with crypto prices.

Paying the Winning Amount

  1. Select an accepted token and blockchain
  2. Receive an exact, expiring crypto quote for the USD obligation and applicable shipping or fees
  3. Fund the generated 2-of-3 multisig escrow address
  4. If the quote expires before funding, request a new quote; the USD obligation remains unchanged
  5. The seller can ship only after independent blockchain monitoring confirms funding

Reserve Prices and Unpaid Winners

A seller can set a private reserve. The public page reports whether a reserve exists and whether it has been met, but never publishes the amount. If a winner does not settle within the payment window, the auction workflow can support relisting or an eligible second-chance offer.

Disputes

If delivery fails or the item differs materially from the listing, either party can open a dispute and submit evidence. Adjudication can produce a buyer refund, seller release, or split outcome according to the escrow and case decision.
