How does private P2P crypto trading work?
You browse trade offers, agree on terms with a counterparty, and the seller’s crypto is locked in 2-of-3 multisig escrow. After the buyer confirms payment, both parties sign to release the funds. Identity documents are not exchanged between counterparties; platform verification may apply by activity and jurisdiction.
What happens if the other party does not complete the trade?
If there is a dispute, either party can request arbitration. The platform arbitrator reviews evidence from both sides and signs with the party deemed correct, releasing the escrowed funds.
Is it safe to trade on a non-custodial exchange?
Non-custodial trading reduces the risk of an exchange holding customer funds, but it does not remove risk. Counterparty, payment, dispute, key-management, network and smart-contract risks remain.
