Fixed-weight currency baskets
A basket stablecoin holds its peg through a published formula rather than discretionary rebalancing. CXCASH stores launch-day FX anchors immutably and updates live rates through an oracle with a 5% per-push move cap and a 24-hour staleness rule.

Versus a USD stablecoin
A USD stablecoin exposes you to one currency. CXCASH spreads exposure: a move in USD affects about 40% of the basket value while EUR, CNY, JPY, GBP and CHF contribute the rest.
IMF Special Drawing Right (SDR)
The IMF's SDR is also a basket (USD, EUR, CNY, JPY, GBP). CXCASH uses its own fixed weights and adds CHF; it is not linked to or issued by the IMF. See the IMF SDR overview.
FAQ
- What is a basket stablecoin?
- A basket stablecoin tracks a fixed-weight mix of fiat currencies instead of a single dollar peg. CXCASH uses USD 40%, EUR 28%, CNY 12%, JPY 8%, GBP 7%, CHF 5% with immutable launch-day FX anchors in its Aztec contract.
- How is the CXCASH price calculated?
- Price = sum(weight × rate now ÷ rate at launch) for each basket currency. Weights are fixed; only FX rates move. Current weights: USD 40%, EUR 28%, CNY 12%, JPY 8%, GBP 7%, CHF 5%.
- What are the main risks?
- Oracle freshness, issuer mint controls, Aztec mainnet Alpha phase, and FX moves across the six currencies. Use amounts you can afford to lose.
